A new medical printer produces photo-quality five by seven inch (5” x 7”) prints in only 20 seconds, while a new universal serial bus (USB) flash memory interface allows users to download pictures from the printer and upload into their computers. Primary applications include ultrasound, endoscopy, and other medical imaging applications.

(SVS; Carlsbad, CA, USA), a distributor of medical, industrial, and professional video equipment, has announced the availability of the new Sony (Tokyo, Japan) UP-55MD medical printer. The unit replaces the now discontinued Sony UP-51MD. The new UP-55MD is suitable for diagnostic imaging systems and has applications in medical facilities that provide ultrasound imaging and endoscopy.
