Hotel Room Management Information System Design and Implementation of
Abstract
The twenty-first century is the era of information technology, the computer has been applied to all walks of life. Use of computer information management technology, can effectively reduce the cost of enterprise management, improve internal efficiency.
In this paper, daily hotel room room management in general and the starting process to design a hotel room every day, management information systems, which can manage the daily hotel room all the rooms of the information, you can easily add, modify or delete. Passenger check-in and check-out are available through a simple operation is complete. Also can easily query, the query including guest rooms, fees, benefits and so on. Finally, you can also right hotel room every day, room information report output.
In this paper, Visual Basic 6.0 development tools as a front, using Microsoft SQL SERVER 2000 as back-end database, using Adodc as the database access control to media. This paper discusses the system design ideas, the main tools and design methods. Then described in detail the database design, system modular design and interface design, the last of the system description is given for each specific module.
The system is running stable, and numerous tests and modifications, has been able to achieve practical application level.

Abstract
The 21th century is a century of information. The usage of computer has varied from many fields. With the computer Manage information system, one company can efficiently reduce cost for management, and promote the efficiency inside the company.
This article embarked daily from the guesthouse guest room guest room management general flow, has designed a set of daily guesthouses guestrooms management information system, it was allowed to manage daily in the guesthouse guest room all guest rooms information, was allowed to facilitate increase, revision , deletion. The passenger enters and returns a house all may complete through the simple operation. Also may carry on the convenience the inquiry, the inquiry content including the guest room, the charge, the benefit and so on. Finally, but also may carry on the report form output daily to the guest houseguest room guest room information.
This article uses Visual Basic 6.0 to do for the onstage development kit, uses Microsoft SQL SERVER 2,000 to do is the backstage database, uses Adodc to control the achievement database visit the medium. This article mainly elaborated the system design mentality, main tool and design method. Afterwards in detail introduced the database design, the system module design and the contact surface design, finally have produced showing to system each concrete module. This system movement is stable, passes through the various test and the revision, already was allowed to achieve the practical application the level.

1. Introduction

In China, the hotel room to foster the cultivation of industry in the country, is working on developing an unprecedented rate. With the hotel room industry booming and China''s entering WTO, the influx of foreign travel companies, the market competition is fierce. In this environment, the traditional mode of operation of hotel rooms has been unable to adapt to the rapid development of today''s market. Want to dominate the market in the competition, lock customers, and only by accelerating the internal management of information technology, electronic construction, improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises.
1.2 Significance of Management Information System

Management Information System (MIS) research began in the 20th century, 70''s, goal is to business managers to use computer-based information systems. 1.3 The main work of this article
This according to daily hotel room management of the requirements and business processes, established a highly information-based and integrated into daily hotel room management system. Computer technology, database technology, workflow technology, focused on the use of them. Synthesis achieved, including the system log, room management, occupancy management, check-out management, and effectiveness of customer query, reporting, printing and other features.

2.1 System design goals

2.2 Feasibility Analysis
Before doing requirements analysis, do first a feasibility study.
① economic viability, namely, cost-benefit analysis, systems development from an economic point of view to determine whether the "viable."
② technical feasibility, that is, the technical risk assessment, from the developer''s technical strength, work based on complexity of the problem and so proceed to determine system development time, cost and other restrictions under the possibility of success.

2.2.1 Technical feasibility
Daily hotel room management information system works is through the user interface to the user''s actions into a store the background information and data related to database operations, then the relevant results of operations will be returned to the user. Taking into account the nature of the application, this system uses stand-alone editions has been able to meet the requirements in the database, in order to save money to customers, I have chosen the database is SQL SERVER 2000, this is because the SQL SERVER 2000 has a good generality and the reliability of the database is only convenient to keep in a file backup, and have to meet the information management requirements. In the development of language, I use the Visual Basic as a front-end application development tools, it is because Visual Basic as a visual RAD programming tool with easy to learn, flexible and convenient, easy to expand and develop the characteristics of the rapid. It can be with the back-end SQL SERVER 2000 database, ADO through the built-in combination to achieve a rapid and efficient solution.
2.2.2 Time Feasibility
The whole system itself is not very large, not too many technical difficulties, using VB6.0 to develop, should not have any difficulties and risks. Taking into account there are already many similar management software in actual operation, so I will be them as a reference, to learn from their good design ideas, and further expand its development of ideas. On graduation design two month period will be basically completed system design from system analysis to all aspects of the work in time is feasible.
2.2.3 Economic Feasibility
Daily hotel room management information system itself is not a direct result of cost-effective. However, its application can save human resource consumption and waste, thereby saving costs, improve efficiency, the role it plays is also very significant. In addition the system uses the SQL SERVER 2000 database, so apart from the application other than royalties, customers no longer need to pay other expenses to further protect the customer''s interests.
2.2.4 Operation Feasibility
Daily Hotel Room Management Information System is based on VB 6.0 platform developed. Visual Basic is Microsoft''s launch of a widely used tool for database development, its treatment of a small database has an unparalleled advantage. In addition, it generates the interface is also very easy to use, it is consistent with the standard windows program, with simple, easy to use and so on. So operational aspects are feasible.
