随着计算机应用的普及和发展，计算机辅助教学（CAI）正日益兴起，并在教学中发挥着越来越重要的作用。计算机辅助考试（CAT）作为计算机辅助教学的一个重要分支，也越来越受到人们的重视。如何利用计算机进行自动出卷﹑在线考试﹑自动阅卷等是计算机辅助考试的重要方面。
当今的世界已进入了信息时代,计算机的应用也已从传统的数值计算发展到非数值计算,并已逐步深入到各个领域.现在社会各行业大量地用计算机进行数据处理,电子通信、自动控制、信息处理、人工智能、管理和情报检索等各专业与计算机科学的联系日益密切。计算及辅助考试是计算机在教学过程中减轻教学任务的重要应用。由于delphi具有先进的开发技术，丰富精彩的界面组件及其符合程序员习惯的编辑方式；具有容易学习掌握的特性，为我们开发面向对象的应用软件提供了较为有利的条件。同时，delphi支持以SQL Server做为后台数据库语言的开发环境，并提供了与各种数据库﹑office等办公软件的连接接口。是我们能够开发（客户/服务器）C/S结构的应用程序，增请了对数据库的管理。由于delphi本身的ADOConnection组件提供了对服务器的数据库进行访问时的密码验证，所以使数据库本身更加安全；delphi里的S evers组件提供了与word，Excel，PowerPoint等办公软件和教学软件的连接接口，使我们可以方便的把数据库的记录转换为所需要的文件格式，使数据库记录于其他各是的文件的转换更加方便。增强了与各种办公软件的兼容性，为我们开发具有强大的面向对象的应用软件提供了有利的条件。

The social every profession and trade carry on data processing with the computer generously now, Every professional connection with computer science, such as electronic communication, automaticallying control, information processing, artificial intelligence, management and information retrieval,etc. are close day by day. Calculate and assist and have an examination it is computer that lighten teaching important application of task in the course of teaching. Because delphi have advanced development technology, enrich excellent boundary plane package and accord with programmer''s habit editor way; Have easy to learn characteristic that grasp , develop and it offers for us for the target''s application software to be comparatively favorable terms. Besides, delphi support regard SQL Server as backstage supporter data base development environment of language, and has offered with various kinds of data bases . Connection interface of office softwares, such as office,etc.. It is we that can develop C/S application program of structure, invite again control over data base.
