摘 要 :中国外贸经过十几年的快速发展，已打下了良好的基础。外贸企业已开始进入新的战略发展阶段。但是在外贸行业中，外贸人员的素质不适应外贸的发展。文章主要讨论经贸英语专业的大学生怎样成为合格的外贸人才。论文分为三部分：外贸从业人员素质问题及其原因分析; 提出优秀外贸人才的标准和把经贸英语专业的学生培养成合格外贸人才的方法。其中又分为两个方面：一是学校该采取的措施;二是学生自身该怎么做。论文的目的在于探索培养外贸人才的行之有效的方法, 使之满足外贸发展的需要。

Abstract
Chinese foreign trade has developed rapidly for years, and it has built a good foundation and the foreign trade enterprises have started to enter the new strategic development phase, but there are some problems now. So this paper discusses the thesis –how un versity students of business English become qualified foreign trade talents. The paper consists of three main parts: the problems of the foreign trade workers’ qaulity and analysis of the reasons of the problems; the standards of qualified foreign trade talents and then some suitable methods to train the students of business English before graduation, in which two aspects are dealt with: one is what unversities should do and the other is what students should do.The paper states the way how to train the foreign trade talents, then it can suit the need of the foreign trade.

Introduction
Since the 21st century, the international situation has been changing greatly. The foreign trade has developed with good foundation for several years and started to enter the new strategy development phase. But the present situation shows that the foreign trade mostly faces the problem that the talented persons’ quality needs improving. Through graduation teaching practice and reading some books, the writer of the paper has realized that the foreign trade needs a big reform, for the foreign trade workers can not meet the need of the foreign trade development. Their abilities about obtaining market information and communication are insufficient; the abilities for sales are not sufficient; and they know few the trade rules and laws.
This paper is to find the contradictions between the foreign trade workers and the foreign trade, and makes an analysis of the reasons for the problems and shows the requirements of the foreign trade talented persons. Then it also proposes the basic training pattern for the college students, especially how university students of business English improve their foreign trade quality in school and how the foreign trade staff receives further improvement in some other areas besides English communicative ability.

做合格的外贸人员 - Conclusion
The paper mainly studies the contradictories between the foreign trade and the trade development. We find out there are many problems in the foreign trade profession. Some foreign trade people can’t get the market information quickly, and they can’t use the professional knowledge to bussiness fully, they can’t know the trade rules and laws sufficiently. It menas that some problems to be solved.
As students of business English, we should at first grasp basic theoretical knowledge, because basic knowledge is very important in the foreign trade. Meanwhile the students should understand other national basice etiquettes, cultures and customs, and they should have more contacts with other people. The colleges should find some ways to improve the students’ quality. At work, foreign trade persons will merge the company culture, and they should accept the new staff training earnestly; they would learn from experienced staff and the society, at last, they can integrate the collective.
This paper isn’t perfect enough. Some areas can’t be found out or explored enough, because I haven’t investigated from the foreign trade department, I only went to the foreign trade company for practicing for 3 months. Thus, this paper has some disadvantages that people can’t explore enough. We hope more and more person can participate in this trade, and investigate more problems. Consequently, it will improve the quality of the foreign trade person.
We wish the foreign trade develop with the international economical development, and hope that more and more people are engaged in the foreign trade so that make the foreign trade developing boomingly. Maybe we face many challenges, but we would believe that we try our best to deal with them optimistically.
