铬是动物的必需微量元素之一，关于铬元素在动物体内的研究已经有了一定的进展，并且相关内容也已经得到了实践的证实。本文通过对铬元素的理化性质及在体内的过程、对动物的生产性能的影响、抗应激、对抗生素和疾病、铬的需要量以及缺乏、中毒和必要的补充等方面作以综合阐述，旨在为当前铬的生产应用提供一点理论依据。
