Survey on Web Services Composition with MAS
Abstract: The emerging of Web services provide a compute model for distribute applications, which are higher decentralization, independent distribution and suitable for Web environment. However, the current Web services architectures are confronted with a few stubborn problems, for instance, semantic problem, security problems, composition problems etc. Complex business interactions require support for higher levels of business functionality. Besides a lot of work about efforts to constitute Web services composition standards, many researches have been carried out in Web service composition. Web service composition can provide a value-chain between customers and suppliers. With the incessant increasing number of services, and thus possible combinations, demands the development of dynamic and automatic techniques for their composition. Current commercial solutions are limited and primarily static and manual. While MAS has a lot of special characteristic, such as function distributable, applicability, openness, higher cohesion, loosely coupled and so on. In this paper, we give an overview of the pop research direction existing in the domain of Web services, which is called Web services composition and composite technology. Combine with Multi-Agent System theory we analyze few examples of Web services composition making use of MAS. And the same time we discus the need, feasibility etc of the Web Services Composition with MAS.
