ABSTRACT: The water management system based on MapX is the typical information management system (MIS). Its development mainly includes two aspects of application produce, the maintenance of the backstage data basement and the establishment of front stage application which is connected with GIS. Requests to the former it is strong to establishes the data uniformity and the integrity regarding, the data security good storehouse. But regarding of the latter then requests application procedure function is complete, easy to use and so on the characteristic. Therefore I integrated the typical water system’s request in fact, carried on to study deeply the application of SQL Server2000 database management system, the principle of the SQL language, the Delphi7.0 application programming, the Delphi technology mainly using in the data fields .completed the demand analysis of the water management system, the module division of the function, the pattern analysis of the database, and from this has designed the database structure and the application procedure. After running this water management system, the result proved that this system can satisfied the people to collect and manage the data of water and other information automatically in the range of irrigate the field. This system has divided the different users operation jurisdiction specifically. It has realized so functions such as the database table browsing, the recording increase, the deletion and the revision, the report form production, has realized the multi- databases table connection operation, has realized the multi- conditions inquiry and the fuzzy inquiry, has entered the data source automatically and freely by person, this system has realized that it counts and analyses the data by computer and help the users to make a decision for the water management based on the data.
